BinarApps is an IT company that develops custom internet solutions and mobile applications for international clients. The company has a team of nearly 70 programmers who have implemented over 100 projects for companies from various industries.

Main challenge

The decision to switch to G Suite was motivated by several factors. The first one involved various issues with email. BinarApps had used the services of a hosting company. At times, email was down for minutes, which hindered the company’s business activity. They needed a place where employees could store their data and work together on documents and sheets. The company also wanted an effective anti-spam solution. Due to the fact that work with clients from different continents, it was also important for us to find a simple and effective solution to conduct meetings and videoconferences with the clients.

Google Meet streamlined the process of arranging meetings with our clients and improved remote work for our workers. I don’t think we could do without it now.

Solution

Standard business email accounts were replaced with Gmail. In addition to improving the reliability and security of e-mail (thanks to two-factor authentication), it allowed them to use a single, universal login for many integrated services (e.g. Slack).

The knowledge base and all their operational documents were transferred to Google Docs and Google Sheets. The company also started using Google Slides for internal company presentations and during industry lectures. Google Drive enabled them to share resources and work simultaneously on various documents.

In the final stage the company implemented the Calendar service, which in addition to setting up meetings is also used to book conference rooms and, thanks to shared company-wide calendars, reminds its employees of important events. The Google Meet tool, integrated with the calendar, enables improved communication with clients and partners, and allows better control over “meetings” across multiple
